Never give up. Keep chasing your dream, Success will follow – that sums up the whole journey of Lita Ford. She embarked onto the musical voyage as the lead guitarist for the all-girl rock band, Runaways in 1970s. The band gained popularity and so did Ford. But, as destiny would have it, the band broke-up. Ford was meant for the bigger thing, and she began her lone trip. Out for Blood was her first solo album. She faced initial hiccups, but STOP was never a word for her. Dancin’ on the Edge, her second album gave her success. The song Fire in My Heart from the album reached the Top 10 in several countries. And there’s no looking back for her. The single, Gotta Let Go climbed to No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock charts.
Then came Lita in 1988. It was her most successful album with several beautiful tracks including Kiss Me Deadly, Close My Eyes Forever, Back to the Cave, and Falling In and Out of Love. Close My Eyes Forever, a duet with Ozzy Osbourne ranked No. 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100. After Stiletto and Dangerous Curves, she took a long break. The album Living Like a Runaway brought back the real Lita Ford that her fans have been missing. Awarded by Guitar Player Magazine, The Certified Guitar Legend Award, Lita Ford still carries her youthful charm and liveliness when she performs. Her execution of guitar skills keeps the crowd energised, asking for more.
